As
a Community Church, Amazing Love exists to bring glory to
God. As individuals, we have discovered through God's Word
that we are here for a purpose. Just like our church exists
to bring glory to God, so you and I were put on this earth
to bring glory to God. And we’ve been created to do this together.
In
the same way that Apple exists to make computers, we exist
to make disciples. The purpose of the church, and every follower
of Jesus Christ, is to join Him on His mission - the Great
Commission - to make disciples.
But what
is a disciple? What does a disciple do? How do we make disciples?
A disciple
is one who follows and imitates the Lord Jesus - empowered
by the very Spirit of Christ. We at Amazing Love Community
Church seek to follow Christ every day and in every area of
our lives - in our families, at work, at school and in our
communities. In obedience to Christ’s Great Commission, our
great joy is to lead others into a relationship with Jesus,
so that they, too, can know Him, grow in Him, and show Him
to the world.
We describe
this ongoing transformation as five inter-related processes:
knowing Christ, growing in Christ, going for Christ through
missions and outreach, sowing seeds through the sharing of
the Gospel, and showing others how to live for Christ.
Where
these processes interconnect is in the person of Jesus, the
source of life for us. We seek to live the life of a disciple.
It is a life that looks like the life of Jesus - we call it
the Jesus-Life. That’s our mission at ALCC.
